Young people to explore Newington Green’s past
and present through brand new season of creative courses…
Young people aged 13 – 19 (25 with disability) will again have the opportunity to discover the history of Newington Green through a unique arts and heritage project.
Working alongside professional artists from The Building Exploratory, All Change, Social Spider and The Young Actors Theatre and The Geffrye Museum, participants will be able to take part in drama, interior design, architecture, creative writing, photography, digital imaging, and sound design courses all inspired by the history of the area.
New weekly sessions! Project launch: Saturday 14th March 2009
Through participating in the project young people will be able to complete a Bronze Level Arts Award. No experience needed! Just commitment!
The project will end with a showcase on and around Newington Green taking place 20 June 2009.
All courses start with the launch day on Saturday 14th March

Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, the project is managed by Mildmay Community Partnership, working in partnership with Islington Youth Service and the Geffrye Museum.
